Nissan Leaf Model Histroy

Nissan introduced the world to electric cars in 2010, the Leaf, by many, is considered to be the car the kick started the electric revolution by providing a real alternative to petrol or diesel.

The early cars were limited in range compared with electric cars today. It comes with a chademo rapid charging port and a type 1 connector for home charging.

Nissan introduced the heat pump to the Nissan leaf, this more efficient heating system boosts the leaf’s range.

A 30 kWh battery is given to the Leaf, boosting range to 155 miles.

The mark 2 Leaf is released, a fresh new look for the Leaf and a 40 kWh battery giving a range of 170 miles.

The Leaf e+ with a 62 kWh battery is due for release. As well as the bigger battery, it’s more powerful motor gives a 0 to 60 of under 8 seconds and it can charge at a rate of 100 kW via chademo and has a type 2 connector for home charging.
